Chief Varnes, head of the Administration and Policing Department began his career with the Apalachicola Police Department in 1999.

Chief Varnes is responsible for the administration areas of our department including: scheduling and personnel issues, records, policy and procedure. In addition, Chief Varnes also assists in supervisory capacity in areas concerning the Patrol Department.
