The DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program provides cognitive information
geared at grade level to reach the visual, auditory or kinesthetic learner.
The key ingredients necessary for success in the DARE program include the Apalachicola
Police Department, the school teachers, and the parents of the young people and
the children themselves.
The drug dealer will obviously not tell a potential customer that drug use will
lead to a life of misery including addiction, loss of employment, loss of family,
friends, health, freedom, and even one’s very existence. It is the DARE officers’
responsibility to tell our student of these consequences. The choices you make determine
the life you live.
